A recent paper (see http://www.faunalia.it/jae_944.pdf) questioned on the
suitability of kernel methods for home range estimation. I suspect this may
be due to the particular implementation (ranges VI), but it would be
interesting to test these result with R methods.
Also, the paper suggests to use the kernel plugin methods (already implemented
in R AFAIK). Would it be possible for someone to try this?
