Thanks for this information. It is very helpful.
A couple other questions I have are:

1) In the estimation process is the kernel placed over each
point OR is the kernel placed at each grid intersection. I am
interested in estimating the ud's by placing the kernel consistently
at each grid intersection rather than above each point. Is this
feasible?
